Well, as I sit on my couch on a ordinary Friday, the husband is already in bed (….at 7:30pm, I married a grandpa haha) and my right knee serves as a perch for my bird who is grinding his beak in contentment and standing on one foot, I figure I might as well get this rolling. There’s probably an entirely better way to start off one’s blog, but this will have to do for now! 

I’m no stranger to having a blog, I totally had one that was entitled “Just A Phase”, after the song by Incubus, that was my outlet to express thoughts and feelings as I was a highschooler and college student. But like the title suggested, it was in fact, just a phase, and upon making it through whatever feelings I was dealing with at the time and finding the exact path I wanted to follow into adulthood, I put that blog to rest and so it is somewhere floating in eternal Internet heaven. 

The funny thing about blogs though, it seems like once you’ve had one and finish it, or get rid of it, or what have you, the itch to express never goes away. And thus, kathleenydmv was born! I’m not entirely sure what the scope of my entries will be, but I’m beyond excited to find out. I’ve got a lot of life left to live and I’m at the beginning of what will most likely be the more interesting years (freshly married, first mortgage, wanting babies, etc.). 

Anyway, this is just a post to mark my beginning. I intend to more formally introduce myself in the near future, but as it is getting close to my bedtime (don’t want to wake my sexy grandpa hubby! Lol!) and I’m writing this on my phone (wifi still needs to find its way into my home…trust me, the thought of no wifi at home is just as painful as it sounds…), I will save that for the next post!
